Using large framing square make sure these L shaped frames are 30 inches from where the building will be. Now you will have reference for measuring and setting up your shed site. Measure out along the long side of where the building will set, drive in stake.Set up batter boards for your corners and the way to do that is at each corner,30 inches away, drive stakes and make a corner or a 90 degree at each corner of where the building will be 30 inches out and away from where the building will set. Drive the stakes then attach batter boards horizontally along and attached to the vertical stakes. Now you will have an L shape or 90 degree at each corner of the site.
The next step would be Using masons twine or something similar, use the twine to lay out the exact measurements for the foundation. Running the twine from corner to corner and also across from one 90 degree corner To the other 90 degree corner to form a x with the twine. Now you should be able to get your foundation start from an exact perfect square. Now you will be set for a do it yourself shed plans project.

DIY Shed Ramps - Strength Is The Key
Although we have a big garden, it is not all at the same ground level, so I am all the time having to man handle garden equipment from one level to the other, somehow. Until now, I have been happy enough to pick whatever it is up, and put it down on the new level. That has been the way I have always done it until my wife's friend and her husband came to visit us last weekend, and he was shocked to see what I did, and suggested we try DIY shed ramps.
The fact is, I am so used to not having them that I just never thought about using them in the garden. Come to think of it, I could also have a mini ramp leading into my garden shed. By the time I have to lift the garden mower one last time to put it away in the shed, I am sometimes pretty exhausted. So a ramp would make life easier.
I confess I have used a couple of planks from time to time. They are easy to move around, but they are a bit dangerous because they could collapse any moment, and they are hazardous to me as well. I could easily slip or trip over them, risking serious injury. I decided to take my friends advice and have proper ramps. I wanted one from the garden shed level to the lawn, and the other to lead into the shed itself. The other few places where I use them, I would carry on using the wooden planks.
Because I would be rolling the lawn mower over the shed ramp, I needed to be sure it was going to be strong enough to support its weight. Other key considerations for the design of the ramp were: the surface must not be be slippery, and the angle of entry into the shed should not be too steep, making it too heavy for me to push it up and down the ramp. Before rushing to buy DIY shed ramps from your nearest store, be sure to take a moment to think about these things first, and save yourself some possible heartache later.

The supplies you will need such as wood 2 x4 5/8 plywood and 4 x 4 pressure treated runners can be purchased at your local home improvement store. Whether you choose to purchase a floor kit from us or build your own floor we do recommend installing a floor under the playhouse. The playhouse floor provides the proper elevation to keep the house off the ground and prevent the wood from rotting because of dampness. In addition the floor holds the playhouse walls in place and makes it easier to move. If you purchase the deck and rail option on your playhouse it is essential that you use 4 x4 pressure treated runners to give the house the correct height to ensure the child s door can clear the deck. Our 4 x6 playhouse kit comes with a factory standard floor built by our experienced craftsmen.
