1996 Dodge Grand Caravan with heater issue?

The issue I'm having seems a little odd and has me puzzled. The A/C works fine and blows cold air out of all the vents. When I switch it to heat, it only blows heat from the center and the other two vents blow cold. The defrost for the front windshield blows warm on half of the vent and cold on the other half. When the system is running there is a noise coming from the dash that sounds like the vents are opening and shutting (repeating) for about a minute and then it quits.

you got a bad actuator on it ,if its leaking vacuum it will do this ,you,ll have to locate it and repair it or replace it,it should work for a short time then go back to not working when it does this,that may be a bad control unit also causing this too happen to it,i have whole box of those that look good but are bad,that was a popular problem with some of the dodges including 5 of the ones that i own ,good luck.
