Where to Go to Get the Best Static Caravan Insurance

Anyone who owns, or has ever owned a static caravan, knows this little piece of folk wisdom by heart: the best days you'll ever have, when you own statics, are the day you buy one and the day you sell it. Now, this clearly isn't true (a well kept static will give years of delight to whole generations of your family) – but there's a reason for the saying. Static caravans are notoriously subject to all sorts of risks: the kind of risk that most insurers have no idea how to insure for, let alone will insure for. Static caravan insurance is hard to find and even harder to pay for – which has, until now, left many static caravan owners in something of a quandary. Pay for a caravan insurance policy that doesn't necessarily cover everything you need it to cover; or forgo insurance and get nailed by a storm?

 

Fortunately, no static caravan owner has to worry about this anymore. That is because the National Association of Caravan Owners, one of the United Kingdom's most trusted caravan advice and information bureaux, has decided to do something about the static caravan insurance situation: by opening its own UK based insurance office. Now members of the NACO are able to get their holiday homes (that is another name for the static caravan) insured by people who know the risks, who know the common things that go wrong with static caravans, and who are able to put a proper figure on the premiums that protect against them. Modern caravan insurance is here – and it is enabling caravan owners all over Britain to keep their pride and joy protected and safe without having to pay two fortunes for the privilege.

 

Major areas of concern, with static caravan insurance, are the weather, and opportunist thieves. There's a single root cause for concern in both cases. Static caravans, by definition and even by law (you cannot live in one, so you have to spend a certain number of weeks away from it for it to be classed as a holiday home) are left unattended for large stretches of time. If you have a weather related problem or break in during one of these stretches of time you may find that things get much worse before you find out anything about it. Modern caravan insurance takes this fallow period into account, allowing static caravan owners to pay realistic premiums against something that is as much a part of static caravan ownership as barbecues and board games.

 

Static caravan insurance purchased from the right supplier (i.e. an insurance provider that has knowledge of and experience with holiday homes) is an excellent safeguard against all the normal (and some of the abnormal) problems that your average holiday home owner encounters over the years. And with companies like the National Association of Caravan Owners going the extra mile to ensure that calls are dealt with in queue free UK centres, it is also one of the nicest.
