Have you ever stayed at log cabin for a short vacation?
Where did you stay? How was your experience, (on a scale 0-10, 10 being the best)?
Yes, I have. When I was younger, we used to rent some rustic type cabins in northern Wisconsin every summer and went fishing on Mud Hen Lake in Siren, Wisconsin. It was the best vacationing we ever did. The cabins all had outdoor toilets and the entire bit. We had the old wooden piers and a nice clean lake to swim in. There were two sets of cabins that we rented each year and it would just depend on which cabins got rented out before we got there or not. One of them was called Blondies Cabins. They were the least rustic, but they were way up on a hill above the lake. That was fine going down to the lake, but it was a real pain having to carry the boat motor and fishing gear back up those steps to the cabins. Then, of course, we had to go to the fish cleaning shed and clean the fish. I miss that so much. 
) The other cabins, were more rustic, but they were right next to the lake and next to the boat docks. Either way, all the cabins had the outdoor, smelly toilets, with the mosquitos. We either had to take a flashlight in the middle of the night, or have an old bucket next to the beds. You sure brought back some great memories. I sure wish I could buy some cabins next to a lake, even if they still came with smelly old outdoor toilets. )
