Davan Caravans suppliers scoop top awards............. 

It is at this time of the year all the major Caravan and Motorhome manufacturers go head to head and compete for those all important industry awards. Davan Caravans are pleased to announce that so many of these awards have been won by manufacturers and suppliers associated with our selves. Swift, Sprite and Lunar Caravan all scooped awards and with many of the products we stock at our main site in Weston super Mare. Davan would like to congratulate all for this amazing achievement.  The Sprite Musketeer EB won 2 awards and Swift managed to win 1 category with 2 runners up positions at this year's Go Caravan, Caravan of the Year Awards 2011. Lunar Caravans also gained top prize with the luxury's Clubman SI

Winning their categories were:

Sprite Musketeer EB - Winner Best Family Caravan under £13,000.Sprite Musketeer EB - Winner Best Lightweight Caravan.Go Caravan commented - This is the smallest family caravan made in Britain. Yet is doesn't feel small. We love the spacious u-shaped lounge as well as the neat bunk area. This caravan won its high marks because it fits credible, practical accommodation into a body that's only 4.74 metres long.

Lunar Clubman SI - Best Couples Caravan over £13,000

 Runners-up in their categories were:
Swift Charisma 565 - Runner-up Best Family Caravan over £13,000.Swift Challenger 565 - Runner-up Best Couples Caravan over £13,000. 

Practical Caravan's Tourer of the Year Awards 2011 are also heavily competed in with awards again going to many of our suppliers. Lunars 6 berth, single axle Quasar 556 was voted Best Van for Large Families and their 4 berth, twin axle Delta TI got the prize for Best Seasonal Caravan. Swift managed to take the overall top prize of Tourer of the Year with the new Challenger 570 SR

 

Winners in the 2011 Caravan Industry Awards included Lunar and The Swift group. Swift achieved Tourer of the year (class C up to £13000) with the Charisma 220. The Thetford washroom of the year was awarded to the Swift Conqueror 480 whilst no less than 4 other categories were won by Swift groups Tourers, Motorhomes and Holiday homes. Lunar Caravans were awarded the Whale award of Innovation with the Delta TI taking top prize.

 

MMM 2010 awards Swifts Escape range picking up Budget Rear Lounge Coach built of the Year Winner with the Escape 686 and Budget Family Motorhome of the Year Highly Commended award with the Escape 624. The Escape 664 was Highly Commended for the Budget Fixed Bed Motorhome of the Year. Auto Trail picked up an award with the Tribute T725 model, which voted "Budget Buy Winner" at the Which Motorhome 2011 awards. The Tribute T620 was runner-up in the same category. The Tribute T720 is Which Motorhome's runner up in the 'Best Family Motorhome' category while the T620 has gained a 'Quality Nominated' award.

The Tribute range was introduced earlier this year and Practical Motorhome magazine named the T620 its Motorhome of the Year as well as its Best Budget Motorhome. The T720 was highly commended in the Best Family Motorhome category.

A Cross Mover?....... As part of Davan Caravans commitment to our customers we are constantly looking for the very latest and the best quality products. With this in mind we are very excited by the new Reich Cross Move Control caravan motor mover. This is the very latest mover available from Reich and offers a host of advanced, patented features that pushes this new Reich mover into the vanguard of caravan mover technology. From the movable cross bar to the patented surface of the aluminium drive rollers this mover delivers quality. The Cross Move Control is suitable of all single axle caravans up to a total weight of 2,000 kg and twin axle models up to 3000kg in weight.

Electric actuation is standard, allowing the motor mover rollers to be engaged using the remote control and is suitable for most types of chassis. Congratulations to Caravan Guard

Following Caravan Guards recent success Davan are proud to be Gold partners with Caravan Guard and will continue to offer 10 FREE insurance with every Caravan and Motorhome sold during 2011. Caravan Guards very own Sally Wilby (Director) and Kerrie Algar (HR & Training Manager) headed to the Insurance Times Awards in London where they picked up the award for "Best Training programme of the year" demonstrating the quality of advice their staff give our customers!

 

Caravan Guard have already won "Customer Service Provider of the Year" and "Best Personal Lines Broker of the Year" at the 2010 UK Broker Awards earlier in the year.

Another fantastic achievement for the Caravan Guard team!  Kerrie was handed the award by Chris Evans who hosted the event, 1200 people attended.

 

In 2011 Davan Caravans will have been trading for 75 Years and will be celebrating this landmark for Caravan and Motorhome Travel.
